V smooth matt, I was a bit too clumsy with it first time though as used to using slimmer pencils. But have got used to using now and it looks good and stays on well overall. May look at other colours too! (Worth mentioning I always apply a lip balm first and then wipe off prior to applying lipstick or pencil.)
